The Wolves of Midwinter

Standard
It was a chilly morning in Dubai, that morning when I went for a walk. I found my way to the bookstore, for Anne Rice‘s Wolf Gift Chronicles.

It was chilly that morning, when I stayed in a hotel room, staring at the title of the books. The Wolf Gift & The Wolves of Midwinter. Then I turned the cover unto the first pages to these words that danced me into deserts & suns, and dreams came with winter’s winds…

So I went to New Orleans

The Mississippi… only a few steps ahead.

The city with the most haunted houses, ghost stories, legendary rivers, hop on & off cars, mysterious world of the undead, and also the cities of the dead, vampires’ cradle, Anne Rice‘s home, Jazz, music, bands, antiques, movie-making, NOLA ranks 3rd city in the US -after Los Angeles and New York City, also the birthplace of Cuffs and Buttons, also known as Southern Comfort… a place where the tragedy ran deep, the city burned twice, and suffered much damage after Hurricane Katerina, but can still sweep you off your feet. I want to stay there forever. New Orleans, a place where mostly the magic runs deep. I want to stay there forever 🙂

“Don’t you just love those long rainy afternoons in New Orleans when an hour isn’t just an hour – but a little piece of eternity dropped into your hands – and who knows what to do with it?” Tennessee Williams, a streetcar named Desire.

Certainly some wine and some ink too.

Directions: There is no West, East, North, or South in New Orleans. We head uptown, downtown, lakeside and riverside. And anywhere the music is.
